Attorney Phone Registration

When registering for confidential, privileged communications between attorneys and inmates through our Private Do Not Record List, one telephone number may be designated as “free and private” and any additional numbers can be designated as “private” only.

ALL phone numbers that are NOT REGISTERED to the  TCSO Private Do Not Record List ARE subject to recording as indicated in the message prompt provided by the Securus phone system.

Once the registration process is complete, attorney phone numbers registered to the TCSO Private Do Not Record List are NOT recorded.

Attorney Video Visitation

Securus Video Visitation allows attorneys to visit with an inmate using a video terminal via Anywhere Visitation. This remote visitation allows consumers to participate in video visits from an Apple iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod Touch®, Android™ smartphone or tablet, or a computer equipped with high speed internet access and a web camera.

You will be asked to enter your email address, create a password, and accept the Terms & Conditions. The system will confirm the password passes the validity rules and will check if the entered email address is associated with an existing user.

Once the system identifies the new user, you will be prompted to enter your contact information, create a 4-digit passcode, and enter the CAPTCHA number. If the email address is unique, you will receive a confirmation notification. Once you have enrolled, you can enter your email and password to log into your Securus Video Visitation account. You can then choose the services you want to sign up for.

After clicking the "Sign up" button, you will select the state where the facility is located then the system will present only the facilities with video visitation as a service. You can select either Travis County Correctional Center or Travis County Correction Center - Attorney. If you would like to make an “In the Unit” video visit, then choose the Travis County Correctional Center facility. If you need to make an extended video visit of 30 or 60 minutes, then select the Travis County Correctional Center - Attorney facility site. Once the initial set up is complete, you can go back and add the other facility site later.

After selecting a facility, you will choose "Attorney" as their visitor type, enter your State Bar number, Issue Date, and Firm Name. Selecting “Attorney” will ensure confidential, privileged communications. Video visitations as an Attorney in the Securus Video Visitation System are NOT recorded or monitored by Securus or the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

If you are signing up on a PC, you will be directed through a system configuration check; this step is skipped if signing up on a mobile device.

After clicking the “Start System Check” button, you will see a circular progress indicator verifying the PC for its readiness to host Video Visitation. Although Java is no longer supported on Firefox/Chrome, the user can still proceed through enrollment and will be notified that a supported browser will be required to conduct a visit on a PC.

You will also need to click the “Test Camera” button to test the PC’s web camera. The camera will take a snapshot. If the camera test is successful, you will then be able to take a photo of your face, along with your government issued photo ID, and State Bar card.

The submitted photos will be sent to the Travis County Sheriff Visitation personnel for approval. The Video Visitation Sign Up is complete. Clicking FINISH takes you back to the home page. Once a user account is approved by the Travis County Sheriffs Visitation staff, users can manage their accounts, view current or past visit appointments, and/or schedule a visit by logging in at
