Public Information Office

The Public Information Office is managed by the Public Information Officer (PIO), whose primary function is to disseminate information and act as the liaison between TCSO and the public to include media and other agencies. The PIO is on call 24/7 and manages personnel who are presenting information on behalf of the agency to ensure that the message is clear and consistent with policy guidelines. TCSO’s social media pages are maintained by this office and the PIO also works with a team of paralegals who handle the many open records requests made by the public.

Media Booking Photo Requests

Members of the media - Please send your booking photo request and a copy of the affidavit/warrant to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If your request is authorized, we will forward your email to the Austin Police Department Public Information Office and they will provide the image.

Your request must be submitted to the arresting agency. If TCSO did not make the arrest, we cannot authorize the release of that booking photo.
