TCSO Arrests Armed Robbery Suspect After SWAT Standoff

At 3:43 am on June 19. 2022, deputies responded to a 911 call reporting an Armed Robbery had just taken place at a convenience store in the 1700 block of Wells Branch Parkway. The caller reported the suspect robbed the store at gunpoint and fled on foot.

TCSO Deputies were able to track the suspect to an apartment complex in the 15400 block of FM 1325. Patrol deputies watched the residence while detectives obtained a search warrant. At approximately 5:30 am, TCSO’s SWAT Unit was dispatched to apprehend the suspect.

The suspect refused to exit the apartment for hours. At approximately 9:15 am, the suspect, MARIER TYLER, 17 of Austin surrendered to deputies and was taken into custody. Detectives searched the apartment. Evidence gathered connects Tyler to multiple armed robberies in Travis County, Austin and Round Rock.
