TCSO Works Two UNRELATED Shootings Overnight One of Them Deadly

At 1:30 am on April 9, 2022, deputies responded to the 15400 block of Jazzberry Way after a 911 caller reported his son had been shot in the head. The investigation thus far indicates the father and son awoke and interrupted a vehicle burglary attempt outside their home. The suspects fled in a vehicle, and father and son drove around the area, looking for them. Upon seeing the vehicle of the alleged burglars, and driving up to it, the son, a Hispanic man in his 20s, was shot. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.

No suspects have been arrested at this time. TCSO’s investigation is ongoing.

At 1:56 am on April 9, 2022, deputies responded to the 17000 block of FM 1100 after a 911 caller reported two people had been shot. Deputies discovered two Hispanic males, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, inside an SUV, parked on the road. Both men had sustained a gunshot wound. One of the men died on scene and the other was transported a local hospital.

No suspects have been arrested. Detectives are actively following several leads in the investigation. The identity of the decedent will be released upon positive ID by the Medical Examiner and notification of next of kin.
