TCSO Investigating Del Valle-Area Homicide
At 11:55 p.m. on January 7, 2026, TCSO dispatch received a 911 call reporting that someone had been shot at a business on the 7200 block of Elroy Road.
On scene, an adult male with gunshot wounds was located and transported to the hospital by EMS. At 12:18 a.m., TCSO was notified that another adult male with gunshot wounds linked to the same incident had arrived at the hospital in critical condition. This person succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:55 a.m.
This incident is considered an isolated incident. One person is currently in custody, and this investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information about the incident or the subjects involved is asked to call the TCSO tipline at 512-854-1444.
The identity of the decedent will not be released until positive identification has been made by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office and next of kin has been notified.
This is TCSO’s first homicide investigation of 2026.
