TCSO Makes Bust in Organized Mail Theft Ring Offers Mail Theft Prevention Tips
TCSO arrested three people in connection with a string of mail theft and identity fraud crimes throughout Travis County. The suspects, each charged with the first-degree felony charges of Theft of Mail ID Info and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, are identified as follows:
• Adam Timothy Liveoak, 45
• Amy Deanne Liveoak, 46
• Andrew Timothy Liveoak, 25
The arrestees are suspected of stealing mail containing victims’ personal ID and credit card information. Search warrants obtained by TCSO detectives resulted in the discovery of burglary tools, illegally manufactured keys, drug paraphernalia, and large folders of personal information belonging to various individuals.
Whether your mail goes to a neighborhood cluster box or directly to your own residential mailbox, anyone can become a target of mail theft. Here are tips to help prevent falling victim:
