Project Lifesaver: Travis County is a program created by law enforcement for law enforcement that helps locate adults who tend to wander due to Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
The program is open to all residents of Travis County and is presently free of charge.
Clients must be senior adults with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or dementia and live with their full-time caregiver who must check the battery once a day.
A Project Lifesaver representative will visit the home once a month to replace the wristband and battery.
