
Project Lifesaver: Travis County is a program created by law enforcement for law enforcement that helps locate adults who tend to wander due to Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
Project Lifesaver is a community effort, created by a concerned group of individuals who saw the need for a program to help elderly adults with dementia and related disorders and their caregivers in Travis County.
The Austin Community Foundation administers all financial aspects of Project Lifesaver: Travis County through a special project fund. Project Lifesaver: Travis County is funded in its entirety by private grants and contributions, which are deposited into this fund. All financial expenditures are reviewed and approved by the Austin Community Foundation.
