On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office will host our 6th Annual Community Extravaganza at the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District, 3000 Shoreline Drive. The event will be from 11am to 4pm. This is a day for the community to interact with Law Enforcement in a positive way. They will have the opportunity to not only enjoy a FREE event, but to learn more about the Sheriff’s Office and the vendors who will participate. We will have members from the Travis County SWAT, K-9, Motorcycle and Lake Patrol units in attendance giving presentations and demonstrations. Star Flight, EMS and the Fire Department will also be there for the community to interact with and learn more about their services, equipment and get experience the helicopter and fire truck. There will be many vendors available with informative materials, flyers and prizes. Local restaurants will provide FREE food, while available.
