Anthony was born in Safford, Arizona. As an "Army Brat", he lived in many different places as a child to include both Germany and Italy. Anthony enlisted in the United States Marine Corps immediately upon graduation from high school in 1987. He was assigned to the 7th Marines at Camp Pendleton in California. In 1990, after graduating from the Navy's Broadened Opportunity Selection and Training Program (BOOST) in San Diego, Anthony was awarded an NROTC Scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated in May of 1995 with a B.A. in History.

Anthony joined TCSO in June of 1995, starting at Building 1 and later moving on to Facilities and Complex Security. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2005 and assigned to Travis County Jail and the Corrections Tactical Unit. Promoting to Lieutenant in 2009, Anthony was assigned to Health Services and later to Building 12 on C shift. Promoting to Captain in January of 2015, Anthony is assigned to TCCC Security. 

Anthony has been married for 19 years and has 2 children. He enjoys firing up the BBQ on the back porch and spending quality time with his family and friends.
