On June 5, 2012 the Travis County Commissioner’s Court enacted traffic regulations for the roads surrounding the Circuit Of The Americas (COTA) track in Southeast Travis County (Precinct 4).

These regulations are put in place to enhance the safety of those who find themselves on the roads surrounding the tack during race days.

These regulations will be enforce from November 16 through 18, 2012 and prohibit stopping, standing, or parking in the right of way (ROW); Prohibit pedestrians or bicyclists in the ROW and allow for the use of contraflow traffic operations.

Right of way means all areas between the fence, or property, lines including the paved roadway, shoulders, unimproved shoulders and grassy areas.

A violation of this order is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00.
