Body Recovered In Southwest Travis County Believed To Be Missing Woman
The Sheriff’s Office received a call at about 5:45pm, on February 11, 2015, saying that there was a body in a creek on Pedernales Summit Parkway near Hwy 71 West.
Pedernales Fire and Austin Travis County EMS were on the scene with Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives. The water was only about 2 feet deep; however, due to the very rough terrain it took some time to recover the body of a female. Once the woman was recovered she was pronounced deceased at 8:30pm. She was then taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office to begin the investigation into the cause of death and to make a positive identification. Sheriff’s Detectives believe the body is,
Belle Patcharin Neal, Date of Birth 9-3-1968,
of Houston who had been missing since January 30th and was last seen in the 18400 Block of Deep Well Drive. However, the ME’s Office has not been able to positively identify the body at this time.
According to Detectives, since she was found in the water all evidence points to drowning but the final ruling on the cause of death, as well as the manner of death, is pending toxicology results. There is no evidence of any criminal activity surrounding her death.
