Welcome to the homepage of the Travis County Sheriff's Office Explorer program, Post 1099.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office started Explorer Post 1099 with the purpose to introduce young adults to the Law Enforcement career field. Explorers are trained by Corrections Officers and Deputies. Their training ranges from self defense to felony traffic stop. With enough time and training, Explorers can ride out with Deputies on their daily patrol assignments.

Interested in joining? You need to be between the ages of 14-20, be available on Wednesday nights, and have an interest in Law Enforcement. Call the Community Sevices Division of the Travis County Sheriff's Office 854-4315
