This program is designed to educate and train inmates on skills used in small to medium construction projects. Both classroom and hands-on training techniques are used in the setting. This program also uses inmate skills and labor to construct furniture and other items that are used in the county instead of purchasing these items with taxpayer funds.

This program is a community based correctional program where the inmate is afforded the opportunity to hold down a job in the community while satisfying their jail sentence. Inmates who enter this program and are unemployed are assisted in securing employment.
Each inmate in the Work Release Program must enter into a financial plan with the program wherein a monthly budget is computed identifying monthly financial requirements. The plan encompasses obligations imposed by the court, such as fine payments and restitution; also included in this plan are fees payable to the program itself such as room and board, and administrative fees.
