and provides safe, secure, and humane confinement of inmates. The law enforcement division provides patrol and criminal investigations and operates out of three command stations. Special operations include lake patrol, crime prevention, dispatch, reserves, SWAT team, and the training academy. The county’s jail population is housed in three major facilities; Central Booking, the Travis County jail, and the Travis County Correctional Complex in Del Valle.
